Schecter Solutions, LLC ("Schecter Solutions," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through schectersolutions.com (the "Site") and our related business processes, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
1 | Information We Collect
Information you provide directly: When you submit our Lead Capture form, we collect your name, company name, email address, phone number, and the business information you provide (what your company makes or sells, your approximate revenue range, whether you work with Majors or Key Accounts, and what systems or tools you currently use). If you book a call or engagement, we collect the scheduling and payment information necessary to do so.
Information collected automatically: Squarespace's built-in site analytics (page views, traffic sources, general visitor patterns), used to understand how the Site is performing. No third-party analytics or advertising tools (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) are currently in use.
Discovery calls and meetings: With your knowledge and consent, we use an AI notetaking tool to transcribe and summarize discovery calls and client meetings so we can focus on the conversation rather than on writing. You will be told before any call is recorded, and you can decline at any time, in which case we will take notes manually. Transcripts and summaries are used internally to prepare for and document our work with you, and are retained under Section 4 below.
Materials you can access without giving us anything: Some materials on this Site, including the Operational Self-Check, can be downloaded without submitting any information. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information when you download them.
2 | How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to: (a) prepare for and conduct discovery calls and consulting engagements; (b) schedule and manage appointments; (c) process payments; (d) send you information you've requested; and (e) improve our own understanding of who we work with. We do not sell your personal information.
3 | Who We Share Information With
We share information with the third-party service providers necessary to run our business, currently including our website hosting provider (Squarespace), our client management and scheduling platform (Dubsado), our payment processor (Stripe), our business email provider (Microsoft 365), our cloud storage and video conferencing providers (Google Workspace and Zoom), our call transcription and summarization tools (Dubsado and Otter.ai), and our bookkeeping and accounting software (Wave). Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing the information they process on our behalf. We do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
Where a client prefers to use their own video conferencing or collaboration platform, we participate as a user of that platform, and that client's own agreement with the provider governs.
4 | Data Retention
We retain client and lead information for as long as reasonably necessary for business, legal, and tax purposes. You may request that we delete information we hold about you, subject to Section 6 below.
5 | Email Communications
If you receive marketing or promotional email from us, it will include our business postal address and a functioning unsubscribe mechanism, consistent with the federal CAN-SPAM Act. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in that email, or by contacting us directly, and we will honor opt-out requests within the timeframe required by law. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6 | California and Other State Resident Rights
As a matter of good practice, and consistent with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), if you are a California resident you may contact us at solutions@schectersolutions.com to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to request that we delete it. We will respond to reasonable requests in good faith, and we will not treat you differently for making one. Schecter Solutions does not currently meet the revenue or data-volume thresholds that trigger the full California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA); these rights are offered as a courtesy and best practice, not because the statute independently requires them at this time. If you are a resident of another state with a comparable privacy law (such as Colorado, Connecticut, or Virginia), we will extend the same courtesy of reviewing and responding to a similar request in good faith, though we do not represent that we are currently subject to those statutes.
7 | Do Not Track Signals
Our Site does not currently alter its data collection and use practices in response to "Do Not Track" signals or other similar mechanisms transmitted by web browsers, as no industry standard has been established for responding to these signals.
8 | Children's Privacy
This Site is intended for business-to-business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
9 | Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
10 | Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests regarding your personal information, can be directed to solutions@schectersolutions.com.
11 | Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect the personal information we collect from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
